In April 2003 the government introduced the Child Tax Credit and the Working Tax Credit. To qualify for tax credits, you must be aged 16 or over and live in the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland). If you are working and have children you can use our Working Family Tax Credit Calculator or if you are not working but have children you can use our Child Tax Credit Calculator. This working tax credit calculator will calculate your entitlement to Working Tax Credit only.
